The deadline for Good Shepherd Community Health Foundation’s spring grants is drawing near.
The foundation aims to help develop the quality of life in our local area through its interpretation of health-related projects and programs.
Applications for grants must be received on or before Jan. 31, 2023. Groups or individuals interested in being considered for funding should request an application by calling the foundation office at 541-667-3419. Forms can be picked up in the hospital’s administrative office or can be found on the foundation’s website.
Criteria have been established for the grants, which are awarded in February and September. The criteria states:
- The service area of West Umatilla and North Morrow counties shall receive first priority
- Community health is defined as that which develops and promotes the quality of life and livability in our service area
- Probability of success of the project will be considered
- Scope of benefits to community members will also be considered
“Because of the generosity and support of the community, the Health Foundation is able to re-invest donations back into our service area through grants in the spring and fall, as well as health care scholarships,” said Executive Director Liz Marvin.
