Heidi J. Christman died on March 26, 2022 at her home in Hermiston at the age of 49.
She was born on June 23, 1972 in Hermiston to Russell “Spike” Piersol and Colleen Griffith.
Heidi was raised and attended schools in Hermiston, graduating from Hermiston High School in the class of 1990. She was united in marriage to Donald Christman on May 2, 1992 in Hermiston. Heidi worked at the PGG store for several years and later at Eastside Market before staying at home to raise her daughters. She later was her mom’s care giver until she died in 2020, and she then was an in-home caregiver until her health no longer allowed her to work.
Heidi enjoyed DIY projects, crafts, flowers and her pet critters, and she was an avid Halloween decorator. She cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Christman, Hermiston; daughters, Jesslynn “Jay” Adams (Richard), Williston, N.D. and Kaitlyn Kelly (Timmy), Irrigon; father, Spike Piersol, Hermiston; brothers, Robert Piersol and Chris Piersol, both of Hermiston; grandchildren, Haylee, Carsyn, Braxtyn and Tinsley; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Heidi was preceded in death by her mother, Colleen Hare.
A celebration of life gathering will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2022 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Hermiston Senior Center, 255 N.E. Second St.
