The Helix School was placed on lockdown Tuesday morning while the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office investigated a nearby domestic disturbance.
At approximately 10:41 a.m. sheriff’s deputies arrived on the scene of a reported domestic incident in the 200 block of Solar Street in Helix.
Due to the nature of the call and the close proximity to the Helix School, at approximately 10:49 a.m. a UCSO patrol supervisor instructed the dispatch center to call the Helix School and request they go into lock down.
Deputies assessed the scene of the reported incident and verified the possible suspect was not at the residence. The school was re-contacted at approximately 11:11 a.m. and advised it was OK to lift the lock down.
