With less than a month to go in a contest that will determine which of three cities will win $20,000 worth of new playground equipment, Hermiston is leading both Portland and Tillamook.
Whichever of the three cities has the most votes by March 20 will win the equipment. If Hermiston wins, it will place the new equipment at Sunset Park.
The opportunity is made available by the Portland Trailblazers’ MODA Assist program.
As of 10:40 a.m. this morning, Hermiston is leading the votes with 4,393 with Portland at 4,045 and Tillamook at 1,274. Voting will close on March 20.
