The 33rd annual Wee Bit O’ Ireland celebration kicks off this week in Heppner starting on Thursday and continuing through Sunday.
The week’s first event is a play called A Thought of Hope at St. Patrick’s Catholic Parish Hall. A full slate of activities gets under way Friday morning with a Friends of the Library book sale, arts and crafts and a boxing smoker at the Heppner High School gym. Events on Saturday include breakfast at the Firehall, sheep dog trials, fun runs and walks, a children’s talent show and live music. The celebration wraps up Sunday.
