Hermiston Advances to State Championship Game

The Hermiston Bulldogs’ history-making run in the state playoffs continued tonight with a 30-13 win over the Marist Spartans in the 5A semi-final game in Hillsboro.

The Bulldogs will now face Silverton after the Foxes beat Springfield earlier today, 31-14. It will be the first state championship appearance for Hermiston, who reached semi-finals for the first time in school history a week ago by defeating Liberty, 19-14.

Cory Adams had two interceptions in tonight’s game, including a touchdown-saving pick in the end zone early in the game. Carson Morter had an interception and a touchdown.
