Altrusa International of Hermiston is gearing up for its annual fundraiser set for Sept. 29.
The third annual Altrusa Oktoberfest will take place at the Hermiston Community Center.
Doors open at 5 p.m. with dinner served at 5:30 p.m. Dinner tickets cost $30 each and are available at the Hermiston Chamber of Commerce or from any Hermiston Altrusan.
The evening’s menu will feature German food with apple cake and ice cream for dessert. Ordnance Brewery will be donating the beer. The evening will also feature a live and silent auction.
Proceeds will be used to fund the many projects that Altrusa has planned for this year. Some of those include inviting young authors to visit students in our area, supporting Domestic Violence Services, continued support for Heifer International, as well as giving scholarships to continuing students.
