Altrusa International of Hermiston is holding a book collection event on Wednesday, Dec. 22 at the Hermiston Cinema.
Families attending the opening day of “Sing 2” are invited to bring a new or gently used children’s book. Altrusa maintains three Little Free Libraries in Hermiston neighborhoods, and will use the donated books to help keep these libraries full. Altrusa members will be in the theater lobby prior to the first two matinee showings of the afternoon.
Altrusa International is an international non-profit organization making local communities better through leadership, partnership, and service. The club undertakes a variety of service, literacy, fundraising and international projects each year.
