This year, Altrusa International of Hermiston’s annual fundraiser will be a Food Truck Extravaganza and will take place Oct. 26 at the Hermiston Community Center.
There will be Polynesian chicken skewers and rice, Hermiston Brewing Company barbecue, salads and wraps from Veg Out, Yo Country Frozen Yogurt, treats from the Donut Spot, and more.
Doors open at 5 p.m. and guests will enter the community center, pay an entry fee of $20 per person, and proceed outside to the food trucks to choose from any or all of the vendors. The food truck fare will be sold separately by each vendor and is not included in the entry fee.
The entry fee does include wine and beer tastings, entertainment on the stage, a chance to buy a raffle ticket for a $2,000 Visa Card ($10 each), a 50-50 cash drawing, and a silent and live auction. The live auction will begin at 7 p.m.
Live entertainment will include the Dance Unlimited, Naomi Almaguer, Cory Cooley and Joe Lindsay.
The Hermiston Altrusa supports community projects throughout the year including Girls Night In, the Agape House backpack program, Made to Thrive, stocking three Little Libraries, offering scholarships and helping with the re-building of Funland Playground.
