Long after serving their country in the military, members of the American Legion Post 37 in Hermiston continue to serve their communities.
Hermiston American Legion members recently purchased 300 earbuds for the students of West Park Elementary School in Hermiston for use with their Chromebooks.
Students throughout the Hermiston School District will begin the school year on Sept. 8 learning online from home using Chromebooks the district is distributing to all students.
William Hill of Post 37 delivered the earbuds on Aug. 28 to Brenda Caldwell, a teacher at West Park.
