The Hermiston Family Aquatic Center is gearing up now for next summer’s lifeguard coverage by offering an American Red Cross lifeguard/CPR/first aid course next month.
The course will be taught by a certified staff member, and certification will be good for two years.
Classes are open to those 15 years and older. They will be held Monday through Wednesday, Aug. 14-16, from 5 to 9 p.m. The cost is $165.
Only 10 participants will be enrolled on a first-come first-served basis. Call the aquatic center at 541-289-7665 for more information.
