The Hermiston night sky will light up with a fireworks show on July 4, capping off a day-long Independence Day celebration at Butte Park.

Hermiston’s Butte Park will be the place to be on Monday when the city’s Fourth of July celebration takes place from early afternoon until dark.

The day will include food, live music, games, a pool party, vendors and will culminate in a fireworks show after dark.

Entertainment will include P&R Dance performing at 1:15 p.m., followed by Bobby & Faith at 3:30 p.m. Big Top the Clown is back and will perform at 4:45 and 6:45 p.m.

A magic show will take place at the park at 8:30 p.m. and the Shades will perform throughout the day, beginning at 5:15 p.m., 7:15 p.m. and again at 9 p.m.

The fireworks get under way at 10 p.m.

Boardman will put on its own day of festivities and the fun begins with a parade at 11 a.m. Following the parade, the fun moves over to Boardman Marina Park with activities and games all day, followed by a fireworks show at dusk.
