Hermiston’s bus service will offer free rides to the Umatilla County Fair on Friday and Saturday.
From 4 p.m. to 1 a.m., the bus service, operated by Kayak Public Transit, will take people to and from the fairgrounds. The pickup location is Hermiston City Hall, 180 N.E. Second St. People are encouraged to park downtown, have dinner, do some shopping and then hop on the bus and head over to Eastern Oregon Trade & Event Center, the site of the fair and Farm-City Pro Rodeo.
The city of Hermiston says the bus service will take a break from 8 to 9 p.m. both nights.
