City Auto Sales in Hermiston has come a long way in four years. What started off as “a trailer and a gravel lot” has grown into an eye-catching auto dealership with plans for further expansion.
On Friday, the Hermiston Chamber of Commerce helped celebrate City Auto Sales’ growth and expansion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the dealership located at 80857 N. Highway 395.
Abe Bedoy, finance manager, said the dealership looks much different than it did four years ago.
“All there was here was a little trailer and a gravel lot,” he said. “There’s been a lot of hard work and it’s turned into what it is today.”
Owned by Mo Jaber and his nephew, Abe Jaber, the dealership has about a dozen employees and has around 120 vehicles in its inventory.
“We plan to have around 180 vehicles on the lot,” said Bedoy. “Our focus is having the types of vehicles that people want.”
The trailer no longer exists and has been replaced by a large showroom, courtesy of Christopher Prewitt Construction of Hermiston. Prewitt was on hand Friday for the celebration.
Bedoy said the folks at the dealership look forward to growing along with the community.
“That’s the goal,” he said. “Keep growing and helping out our local people.
