The Greater Hermiston Community Foundation (GHCF) is involved in a new effort to bring donations and attention to several nonprofits making a difference in the community.

GHCF has introduced the Valley Giving Guide (VGG), a fund-raising effort to provide an easy option for those in the community who wish to give back. The Valley Giving Guide is a tool for local nonprofits to raise money, attract new donors and expand their marketing programs.

“We are excited to be involved in the VGG, and hope it makes giving back even easier,” said Weston Putman, GHCF board member. “Giving through the VGG opens the door to special benefits through the Blue Mountain Foundation. Community members are eligible for matching funds, a bonus pool, donor recognition and absolutely no fees on individual donations.”

Community members can click here to access GHCF’s page within the VGG.

The GHCF has made previous commitments to the Hermiston Senior Center, Eastern Oregon Mission and the recent HEROS project located at the Eastern Oregon Trade and Event Center, among others.

“Without the contributions from our generous donors, none of this would be possible,” said Putman. “We would like to thank each and every person working towards improving the quality of life in the Greater Hermiston area.”
