The Greater Hermiston Community Foundation is thrilled to be included in the 6th Annual Valley Giving Guide, a one-stop opportunity to support nonprofits and charitable organizations doing good work in their communities.

The Valley Giving Guide is co-hosted by the Blue Mountain Community Foundation and United Way of the Blue Mountains and includes 163 organizations throughout Umatilla, Walla Walla, Columbia, and Garfield counties. It is a resource for identifying local nonprofits, making a secure donation, and magnifying your support.

Donations made through www.valleygivingguide.org are boosted by the Bonus Pool, funded by a variety of businesses, foundations, and associations throughout the region. In 2023, all donations were boosted by 10%, bringing the total raised to $3.4 million.

“We love being part of this generous community and working alongside nonprofits with a better future in mind. Being featured in the Valley Giving Guide alongside so many wonderful organizations is a reminder of just how lucky we are,” said Greg Harris, chair of the Greater Hermiston Foundation. “We encourage everyone to visit the site and make a donation this holiday season.”

Prizes are also awarded for most money raised and most weekly donors, as well as most unique donors over the course of the season. Donations of cash, appreciated stock, and RMDs are eligible for Bonus Pool boosting and must be made before Dec. 31.

The Greater Hermiston Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) encouraging, prudently managing, and distributing charitable contributions to improve the quality of life for the Hermiston, Umatilla, Irrigon, Stanfield and Echo communities, now and in the future.
