The Hermiston City Council approved the appointment of two people to fill vacancies on a pair of committees.
Moses Frederic was approved to a seat on the Planning Commission. The term begins May 9 and runs until March 31, 2020.
The council also gave its approval to the appointment of John Douglass to the Budget Committee. That term runs from May 9 to Dec. 31, 2019.
