The Hermiston City Council will hold its regular April meeting and work session at the Eastern Oregon Trade and Event Center on Monday, April 27, at 6 p.m.

The council will offer a live video feed of the meeting on its YouTube channel and offer a call-in line through Amazon Chime for members of the public to listen and comment. That number is 1-206-462-5569 and use Meeting ID 322-962-8667

External phone lines will be muted except during public comment periods.

“We owe it to our residents to continue carrying out their important business, regardless of international emergencies,” said Hermiston City Manager Byron Smith. “This outstanding partnership with Amazon Web Services ensures that we can guarantee access and public input regardless of social distancing requirements.”

In order to follow public gathering guidelines set forth by state and federal authorities, a limited number of chairs will be available for citizens to attend the meeting in person. An overflow room at EOTEC will be made available.

Those who choose to attend the meeting in person should be aware of Road Closed signs at each end of Airport Road due to road construction and cautiously go around these signs to get to EOTEC.
