Two weeks after a pipe burst causing water to flood the interior, the Hermiston Department of Motor Vehicles office is back open.
The pipes, frozen by extremely cold weather, began leaking on Dec. 9. The building, 945 E. Fourth St., suffered damage to its pipes, floors and walls.
The office resumed normal business hours today, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The DMV opens at 9 a.m. on Wednesdays, but will be closed this Wednesday for the Christmas holiday.
