In conjunction with many high schools across the United States, Hermiston High School will recognize its senior athletes as part of the “Be the Light” movement tonight at 8:20 p.m. at Kennison Stadium.
At that time, lights will burn bright for one hour, as a display of appreciation for the hard work they put in over the years and for the sacrifices they made on behalf of Hermiston High School athletics.
Senior recognition is a long-standing tradition for a high school athlete. Unfortunately, the “senior night” experience will not be available to this year’s senior athletes due to the COVID19 pandemic and cancellation of spring sports.
Hermiston High School discourages community members from gathering at the stadium. School administrators and coaches ask community members to keep these athletes and many others in your thoughts, as schools continue to fight through the challenges of social distancing and the quarantine of 2020.
