A Hermiston man died Friday afternoon in a single-vehicle accident in Sherman County.
Nicholas Demos, 29, was traveling southbound on Highway 97 near milepost 26 when the Saab he was driving left the roadway and rolled over. Demos was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the Oregon State Police, speed and lane usage are suspected to be the main contributing factors in the crash.
The OSP was assisted by Moro Fire and Rescue, the Sherman County Sheriff’s Office and the Oregon State Department of Transportation.
