Friday, Aug. 30 is the deadline to register for the Hermiston Parks and Recreation Department’s Harvest Moonlight Paddle taking place on Friday, Sept. 6.
The event is for those 14 and up (14-17 must come with an adult).
Kayakers will gather at Hat Rock State Park at 6 p.m. and paddle around the shores of the Columbia River. The cost is $25 for residents or $30 for non-residents; optional kayak rental is $10. A bonfire with harvest-themed treats is included in the cost. Bring headlamps and glow sticks to help illuminate the way. Register online.
