Hermiston Parks Department Offering Puppy, Dog Training Classes

The Hermiston Parks and Recreation Department is offering puppy obedience and adult dog training classes from April 7 through Oct. 6. Dogs will be introduced to basic commands and a behavior foundation.

Age requirements are 0-6 months for puppies and 6 months and older for adult dogs. Session costs are $50 for residents and $63 for non-residents. All classes will take place on Saturdays, with puppy classes from 9 to 10 a.m. and adult classes from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Session 1 runs Apr. 7-May 12 at Victory Square Park; the signup deadline is March 30. Session 2 runs June 2-July 7 at Highland Hills Elementary School; the signup deadline is May 25. Session 3 runs July 14-Aug. 18 at Highland Hills; the signup deadline is July 6. Session 4 runs Aug. 25-Oct. 6 at Highland Hills; the signup deadline is Aug. 17.
