Longtime Hermiston businessman Jerry Sobotta died on Sunday at the age of 85.
Sobotta owned Hermiston Drug with his brother, Jack, after working as a pharmacist in Richland, Wash.
His obituary summed Sobotta up in one word – “kind.”
He attended Gonzaga University where he played basketball and later attended Washington State University where he “became a lifelong Cougar.” A die-hard sports fan, he is “now in heaven watching the Men’s and Women’s NCAA Championships and looking forward to a Gonzaga championship.”
