Hermiston police arrested a transient on Tuesday who is suspected to having robbed a local convenience store.
According to Cpt. Scott Clark of the Hermiston Police Department, Humberto Ramos, 26, was spotted by an off-duty police officer around 10 a.m. on Tuesday in a vehicle at the Hermiston Plaza. Ramos had been identified as a suspect in the June 1 convenience store robbery.
Ramos was taken into custody without incident and was lodged in Umatilla County Jail on charges of first-degree robbery and second-degree theft.
