A Boardman man is in jail on burglary and theft charges connected to a theft of items from a storage shed last month.
Tyler Winterton, 28, was arrested on Wednesday by officers and detectives from the Hermiston Police Department. Cpt. Travis Eynon said Winterton was charged with second-degree burglary and aggravated theft stemming from a burglary of a storage unit in which multiple items were stolen.
“The storage unit burglary was reported to us on April 10th,” Eynon said. “Mr. Winterton was identified as a suspect in the case and probable cause for his arrest was developed. Yesterday, officers contacted Mr. Winterton on a different call for service. At the conclusion of that call for service, Mr. Winterton was arrested in connection with the storage shed burglary.”
The burglary and theft were isolated to just the one storage unit, said Eynon.
