A Boardman man wanted by Hermiston police was captured around 1:30 a.m. this morning in Boardman.
Juan Antonio Tellez, 21, was wanted for questioning following an incident Wednesday night in which residents on the 200 block of E. Beech Avenue in Hermiston reported seeing two men outside their house with bandanas covering their faces and possibly armed.
Hermiston police officers arrived at the scene around 11:18 p.m. and saw two men fleeing on foot from the yard of the residence.
Hermiston Police Chief Jason Edmiston said officers captured 19-year-old Gilberto Garcia of Boardman after a short chase. Garcia, who did not have any weapons on him, was charged with menacing, second-degree disorderly conduct and second-degree criminal trespass. Edmiston said Garcia is currently on probation for aggravated assault involving a firearm. He was lodged in the Umatilla County Jail.
Hermiston police, with the assistance of the Boardman Police Department, caught Tellez early this morning at his residence, 600 Wilson Road, Apt. B5. He was charged with menacing, second-degree criminal trespass and second-degree disorderly conduct. Tellez was lodged in the Umatilla County Jail.
