The Friends of the Hermiston Library are teaming up with Oregon’s First Grassroots Cribbage Club #2 to host a cribbage tournament this Saturday, Aug. 17 at the Hermiston Public Library, 235 E. Gladys Ave.
Registration begins at 10 a.m., and the event goes until 3 p.m. The cost is $20 and includes a hot dog, chips and water for lunch; other snacks will be available for purchase. Three games will determine the winner, who will receive a customized cribbage board. The event also includes a 50/50 drawing, as well as raffle drawings. Proceeds from the tournament will go to support library events that benefit the whole community. For more information, call the library at 541-567-2882.
