The Hermiston Department of Recreation will host a free Kids Fishing Derby on Saturday, March 26 at the McNary Ponds.
The ponds will be stocked with trout and special fish will be tagged for prizes
All normal fishing regulations are in effect. Those attending must bring their own fishing pole and gear. An adult must accompany all children and each fish caught must be reeled in by a child 2-11 years old.
The event, sponsored by Rogers Toyota of Hermiston, goes from 10 a.m. to noon.
