He was born on Jan. 15, 1939 in Gary, Ind., to Claude and Mrytle Neumann.
Don was raised and attended schools in Minnesota. He then joined the United States Marine Corps and served in Vietnam before his honorable discharge. Don later lived in Hermiston and worked as a millwright in construction for many years. He moved to Florida for a time before returning to Hermiston in 2009 where he has lived since.
He is survived by his friend of many years and companion, Frances Coppinger, Hermiston; son, Eric Neumann, Minnesota; brothers, Bruce Neumann (Dennise), Minnesota and Florida, and Steven Neumann (Tammy), South Dakota; sisters, Phyllis Bernstien, Florida, and Linda Johnson, California; and several nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers-in-law, Ed Bernstien and Mel Johnson.
A service will be announced and held at a later date.
