The Hermiston School District Board of Education will hold a special meeting at the HSD office, 305 S.W. 11th St., on Monday, Oct. 23, at 6:30 p.m.
The agenda includes a presentation from the Student Board representative and Assistant Principal Melissa Doherty, reports from board Chairwoman Sally Hansell, Superintendent Dr. Tricia Mooney as well as Athletics and Activities Director Larry Usher regarding the Student Athlete Leadership Team.
Briana Cortaberria, HSD communications officers, said the term “special” is used for any meeting that is not a monthly regular business meeting. “To prevent four-hour long regular meetings, our board addresses items at a second meeting each month,” she said.
The board’s regular meetings are scheduled for the second Monday of each month.
