In planning for school this fall and Comprehensive Distance Learning, Hermiston School District (HSD) is working to address the need for child care across the community.
HSD is working with Champions as a provider and the city of Hermiston on the use of the Eastern Oregon Trade & Event Center to meet this need for families.
The district launched a survey to determine the community’s need for childcare. The survey is available online.
Champions’ weekly rate is $190 per student for all day care. Opportunities for discounts and waivers are available. Interested families are asked to mark ‘yes’ that they would like more information about available programs when completing the survey. In addition, HSD intends to off-set a portion of the costs for all families.
To achieve stable cohort requirements, Champions will only offer full-day/full-week care.
