The city of Hermiston has widened its lead over Portland in the contest to win $20,000 worth of playground equipment for Sunset Park.
As of early Monday morning, Hermiston had 6,726 votes while Portland had 5,832 with Tillamook third with 1,412 votes.
Whichever of the three cities has the most votes by March 20 will win the equipment.
The opportunity is made available by the Portland Trailblazers’ MODA Assist program.
