The city of Hermiston will host the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Thursday on the Festival Street.
There will be music, a campfire and a visit from Santa. Vendors will be on hand to provide food, hot chocolate and holiday treats. Downtown businesses will be open for First Thursday of the month Christmas shopping.
The free event takes place at 6 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 7 between Gladys Avenue and Main Street.
