The Hermiston Warming Station will be closed tonight, Thursday, March 31, and is now closed for the season.
The station, located at the Arc Building at 215 W. Orchard Ave., is staffed by a coalition of community members working to ensure that people who are experiencing homelessness in the Hermiston area have a warm and safe place to sleep when the temperature drops below 32 degrees during the winter season. The warming station operates through March. The warming station a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization under St. John’s Episcopal Church and donations are tax deductible. Donations can be mailed to HWS, PO Box 433, Hermiston, Ore., 97838.
