The New Year has brought some new faces to Hermiston’s city government.
At the Jan. 14 Hermiston City Council meeting, Mayor David Drotzmann and three new councilors took the oath of office during a swearing-in ceremony.
The three new councilors sworn in were Manuel Gutierrez, John Kirwan, and Doug Primmer. Current City Councilor Rod Hardin was also sworn in for another term.
Drotzmann, who became mayor-elect after a Spring primary election, took over for Bob Severson, who served as mayor from 2001 until his death in December. The new councilors replace departing members Michael Calame, Joe Harn, and Brian Misner.
Tom Creasing was also sworn in for another term as municipal court judge.
