Hermiston's Alfredo Ontiveros Passes Away at 59

Alfredo Perez Ontiveros died on Aug. 10, 2016 at his home in Hermiston at the age of 59.

He was born on Feb. 26, 1957 in Durango, Mexico to Miguel Perez and Alejandra Ontiveros. Alfredo lived and attended schools in Mexico. He moved to Hood River in 1976 and then later moved to Medford. Alfredo moved to Hermiston in 1991 where he has lived since. Alfredo married Claudia Morales on Jan. 17, 2003 in Durango, Mexico. He has worked as a truck driver for LTI (Milky Way) since 2006. Alfredo was a member of Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Hermiston. He enjoyed time with his family, BBQ’s, the beach, camping, and playing basketball.

He is survived by his wife: Claudia Perez, Hermiston, OR; children: Alejandra Marie Perez, Portland, OR, Kyle Anderson Perez, Medford, OR, Alfredo Jesus Perez, Hermiston, OR, and Marianna Guadalupe Perez, Hermiston, OR; parents: Miguel Perez & Alejandra Ontiveros, Durango, Mexico; brothers: Felipe Ontiveros, Durango, Mexico, Fernando Perez, Hermiston, OR, Miguel Perez, Dallas, TX, Javier & Juanito Perez, both of Durango, Mexico; sisters: Carmina Perez, Durango, Mexico, Alejandra Monclova, Hermiston, OR; 2 grandchildren: Michael Jonathan and Jocelyn; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 6:00 P.M. at Burns Mortuary Chapel, Hermiston, Oregon.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Hermiston.

Burial will follow at the Hermiston Cemetery.
