Hermiston's Arlene Jimenez Passes Away at 73

Arlene M. Poe Jimenez died on Nov. 16, 2016 at her home in Hermiston at the age of 73.

She was born on July 12, 1943 in Salem to Lucky and Leona Bentz Kremer.

Arlene was raised and attended school in Oregon. She later lived in California for a time before returning to Oregon in the early 1990s. Arlene lived in Boardman until moving to Hermiston in 1997 where she has lived since. She married Jose “Joe” Jimenez on April 28, 1998 in Toombs County, Georgia. Arlene was a member of Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling, music, yard sales, crafts, the Oregon coast, and sharing the word of the Lord with others.

She is survived by her husband Jose, children: MaryAnn, Jeff, Clint, and Tina; brothers: Darwin, Steven, Doug, & Greg; sisters: Connie & Karen; 5 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents and husband, James Poe.

Recitation of the rosary will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Hermiston, followed by mass of Christian burial at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow at the Riverview Cemetery in Boardman.
