William E. “Bill” Jones died on Feb. 9, 2017 at home in Hermiston at the age of 93.
He was born on Nov. 14, 1923 in Joes, Colo., to Alexander Bryan Jones and Bertha Coral Bennett Jones. Bill served in the united States Army Air Force from 1943 until his honorable discharge in 1945. He spent many years working as a prospector, mining throughout the area. Bill enjoyed cribbage, playing cards, traveling, spending time with his family.
A service will be announced and held at a later date.
