The Good Shepherd Community Health Foundation honored Bob Green as the 29th annual Christmas Spirit Award recipient.

This award is given to those who exemplify the Spirit of Christmas by giving of themselves to others all throughout the year. Green is a past executive director of the Foundation.

The Foundation presented Green with the honor on Friday, Dec. 20 and presented him with the following tribute:

Green was having coffee at Nookie’s Restaurant & Brewing on Friday, Dec. 20 when he found out he was this year’s Christmas Spirit Award winner.

“Bob’s tireless efforts have created a profound impact, fostering a sense of unity, support, and inspiration within our community. His selfless volunteerism embodies the core values of generosity, compassion, and community spirit, making him an exemplary model for others to follow. As one of the most selfless individuals, Bob is renowned for his kindness, caring nature, generosity, and humility. He possesses a unique ability to focus on the needs of his friends and neighbors with utmost concentration and thoughtfulness, making everyone feel special and valued. One of Bob’s most remarkable gifts is his ability to uplift and inspire those around him. His presence is a balm to the soul, and his interactions leave a lasting, positive impact.

In addition to his exceptional community spirit, Bob is also a gifted musician and organizer. He has generously shared his talents with his church, coordinating music programs that uplift and inspire the congregation. His exceptional communication skills also make him a compelling and gifted speaker, capable of captivating audiences with his thoughtful insights and passion.

Moreover, Bob’s business acumen is equally impressive. With a keen eye for strategy and a deep understanding of community needs, he has provided invaluable guidance and support to various initiatives and projects. His unique blend of business savvy, creative talent, and community spirit makes him an invaluable asset to our community. What sets Bob apart is his genuine enthusiasm for recognizing the achievements of others. When organizing events or projects, he graciously deflects praise, instead highlighting the contributions of those around him. His sage advice, thoughtful insights, and suggestions are invaluable assets to our community, earning him the deepest respect and admiration from all who are fortunate enough to know him.

It is for these reasons that the Good Shepherd Community Health Foundation, which strives to make our community a better place to live, has selected Bob Green as the 2024 Christmas Spirit Award recipient.”
