Doloris Virginia “Dee” Hill of Hermiston passed away on Dec. 15, 2016 in Hermiston at the age of 90.
She was born Feb. 27, 1926 to Ruell and Hilda Doggett in McCall, Idaho.
Dee grew up in Midvale, Idaho, and was the first born of four children, having survived her brothers, Robert and Richard. Jim and Dee married on May 8, 1949 after Jim’s tour in the Korean War. They moved to Pendleton in the fall of 1951 and later to Hermiston in 1963. Dee worked at Idaho Power in Cambridge and Boise, Idaho and at Pacific Power in Pendleton. Always social, Dee enjoyed being a member of the Good Shepherd Hospital Auxiliary, the Garden Club and was an active member of the First Christian Church. She loved gardening, camping and traveling.
Dee is survived by her husband: James R. “Jim” Hill; a son: Daniel J. “Dan” Hill; and her granddaughter: Mackenzie D. “Mack” Hill, all of Hermiston, Oregon, and her sister: Vivian Keithley of Midvale, Idaho.
Services will be held for Dee on Friday, Jan. 13, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Hermiston.
Burial will be private and held at a later date in Midvale, Idaho.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dee’s name to the Good Shepherd Community Health Foundation or the First Christian Church in Hermiston.
