Dianne C. Bartman, 68, of Hermiston, died on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014 at her home.
She was born on July 27, 1946 in Hemet, Calif., to Richard and Florence (Wessel) Dilworth. She obtained her high school diploma in Kenya, Africa, then her nursing diploma in Oak Park, Illinois; bachelor of science degree in Carson, Calif., and later master of science degree from California State University. Dianne worked as a registered nurse and nurse educator. She married Merle Howard Bartman on Nov. 7, 1969 in San Jacinto, Calif. They had lived in California several years before moving to Hermiston. Her hobbies were doll making, quilt making, camping, fishing, gardening, and genealogy. She loved being with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Florence Dilworth; and brother, Richard Norman Dilworth.
Dianne is survived her husband, Merle Howard Bartman; two children, Daniel Scott Bartman and Michele, and Jason Lee Bartman and Denise; grandchildren, Savannah May Diaz “Bartman”; Timothy Paul Tichy “Bartman”; Jamie Lynn Bartman; Robert Lee Bartman; Brooke Lynn Bartman; Bridget May Bartman; Siblings, sister; Joanne Elizabeth Board and spouse Tom Board; sister, Phyllis Jean Fisher and Michael Fisher; sister-in-law Sheila Jane Propst Dilworth; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014 at 10 a.m. at New Hope Community Church, 1350 S. Highway 395, Hermiston. Burial will follow in the Hermiston Cemetery.
