Hermiston’s Glenda Williams Passes Away at 70

Glenda M. Williams of Hermiston died on Aug. 15, 2017 in Hermiston at the age of 70.

She was born on March 17, 1947 in Rigby, Idaho to Ralph and Opal Sylvia Parker Whitehead.

She was raised in Wyoming and Montana before moving to Hermiston in the 1960s. She worked as a trim operator at Lamb Weston for 32 years before she retired. She enjoyed fishing, birds, sewing, crocheting, time with family, visiting with people, movies and watching Walker, Texas Ranger.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Kathleen Anderson, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernie Williams; her parents; sisters, Starlett Whitehead and Caroline Moreno; and brothers, Laroye Whitehead and Harold and Bill White.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, Aug. 21, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the Hermiston Cemetery.
