Concepcion Gutierrez passed away on Nov. 30, 2017 in Kennewick, Wash. at the age of 73.
He was born on Dec. 8, 1943 in Colotlan, Jalisco, Mexico to Silvestre and Clemencia Torres Gutierrez.
His family traveled extensively when Concepcion was a child. He moved to Hermiston in the mid 1970s, where he worked for Lamb Weston for several years. He then took a job with Simplot, where he worked for over 20 years, retiring in the mid 2000s.
Concepcion enjoyed farming, raising animals and being in the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Roman.
He is survived by sisters, Alvara Garza, Maria Guadalupe Gutierrez, Rubertina Gutierrez, Maria Estela Reyes, Mercedes Alvarado, Maria Elena Veliz, Maria Socorro Rollins and Ofelia Gutierrez; brothers, Silvestre, Guillermo, Jose Luis and Roberto Gutierrez; and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 4, 2017 at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, 565 W. Hermiston Ave. Burial will follow in Hermiston Cemetery.
