Jason C. Anteau of Hermiston, died on July 24, 2015 in Pendleton as the result of a motorcycle accident at the age of 43.
He was born on Nov. 23, 1971 in Dearborn, Mich., to David and Lynda Segraves Anteau. Jason was raised and attended schools in Eastern Oregon with his family settling in Irrigon in 1985. Jason worked for Marlette Homes in Hermiston, and later was a wildland firefighter for 1-A Construction & Fire and a partner with Columbia River Builders for 10 years. Jason went to work for the Oregon Department of Transportation in Hermiston in 2010 and transferred to Heppner in 2013 where he was currently an area coordinator.
Jason was united in marriage to Angela Stewart on Feb. 21, 1998 in Las Vegas and made their home in Hermiston. He was a Hermiston volunteer fireman/EMT and on the Oregon State HazMat Team. Jason was the vice president of the East Desert Diamondbacks chapter of the Iron Order motorcycle club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, riding his Harley, working on vehicles, rodeo-ing, camping, and spending time with family.
He is survived by his wife, Angie Anteau, Hermiston; son, Trenten Anteau, Hermiston; daughter, Alex Anteau, Hermiston; parents, Dave and Lynda Anteau, Irrigon; sister, Kristen Anteau, Hermiston; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other members of his family.
Jason was preceded in death by his brother, David Anteau II; his grandparents, Buster and Arline Segraves; and his lifelong best friend, Brian Brown.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Hermiston High School Commons. Please come as Jason preferred, casual and comfortable.
