He was born on Nov. 22, 1936. John was raised and attended schools in California. He moved to Hermiston and worked as driver for Graybeal Distributing for many years. John was united in marriage to Margie Parnell in Umatilla. He retired in 1998 and was able to enjoy lots of fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Margie Poplis, Hermiston; stepsons, Robert “Bob” Harrington, and Ronnie Griggs, both of Hermiston; sisters, Carol and Mayanne, both of San Diego.
John was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Dean.
At his request there will be no service.
