Hermiston's Lila Hudson Passes Away at 83

Lila Cynthia Hudson died on May 22, 2015 at her home in Hermiston at the age of 83.

She was born on May 4, 1932 in Tuttle, Idaho to Wallace and Hazel Carlton Stoolfire. She was raised in Milton Freewater where she graduated high school in 1951. Lila was united in marriage to Don B. Hudson on June 30, 1951 in Milton Freewater. They moved to Pilot Rock where they lived until Don retired and they moved to Hermiston. Lila was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary, Salvation Army Home League, and the Pendleton Blue Mountain Doll Club. She was always busy doing various crafts.

She is survived by her husband, Don Hudson, Hermiston; daughters, Cynthia Bailey, Hermiston, and Jessie Barker, Paterson, Wash.,; son, Wallace Hudson, Pendleton; two granddaughters; a grandson; and a great-grandson; sisters,: Clara Ganoe, Mary Stauter, & Rebecca Stoolfire; brothers, Lyle Carlton, Willis Stoolfire, and George Stoolfire; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lila was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert Stoolfire;, and a sister, Eunice Wickert.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Paterson Community Church in Paterson, Wash.
