Hermiston's Pat Rebman Passes Away at Age 72

Patricia A. “Pat” Rebman died on Feb. 1, 2015 surrounded by her family at her home in Hermiston at the age of 72.

She was born on March 23, 1942 in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Pat was raised in Troy, Montana until moving to Pendleton in 1956 and then to Hermiston in 1958. She graduated from Hermiston High School in the class of 1960. Pat was united in marriage to Rick Rebman on April 16, 1960 in Hermiston. They lived in Klamath Falls, Oregon and Pendleton for a short time before returning to Hermiston in 1967 where they have lived since.

They owned and operated Rick’s House of Discount from 1967 until 1978 and Northwest Motor Home from 1976 until retiring in 1987. Pat and Rick spent the last 15 years snow-birding in Arizona. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church, where she served as secretary for many years. Pat was a member of the Hermiston Church of the Nazarene, where she served as the church board secretary. She directed a Walk to Emmaus, served as president of the Christian Women’s Association for several years, and had served as a hospice volunteer for several years. Pat loved the ocean and cherished the time with her family. She enjoyed reading, traveling, scrap booking, arts & crafts, music, gardening, playing cards, and time with her grandchildren. Pat touched so many people over the years with her hand written notes and cards of acknowledgment.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 55 years, Rick Rebman, Hermiston; sons, Don Rebman & wife Young, Umatilla, Scott Rebman & wife Helene, Troutdale; daughters, Tami Rebman, Hermiston, and Jennifer Ornelas & husband Jeremy, Portland; and three grandchildren, Lucy, Bailee, and Jameson.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Na Mi Rebman; and two brothers, David and Gerald.

A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, Feb. 6, 2015 at 3 p.m. at the Hermiston Church of the Nazarene.

A private family burial will be held at the Hermiston Cemetery.
