Patricia P. “Pat” Templeton died on January 9, 2016 at her home in Hermiston at the age of 88.
She was born on November 15, 1927 in La Grande, Oregon to parents, Thomas and Treshia Emigh Conrad. Pat was raised and attended schools in La Grande, Oregon. After graduating high school she attended Eastern Oregon College for 1 year before moving to Pendleton, Oregon. She worked for Penny Wise Drug and then later at Pacific Northwest Bell. Pat was united in marriage to Ralph Templeton on October 7, 1949 in Pendleton, Oregon. She worked at Pacific Northwest Bell for several years until her health would no longer allow. They moved to Hermiston, Oregon in 1952 where she has lived since. They owned and operated the family farm raising animals as well as crops. In her later years she really enjoyed having lots of wildlife around her home, birds, deer, fox, and many others. Pat was a member of PGG, Telephone Pioneers, life member of the Pendleton Round-Up, and the “Ladies Group”. She enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening, listening to the KOHU morning show daily, and cherished time spent with her family & friends. Pat had and showed “Unconditional Love” to everyone.
She is survived by her son: Thomas Templeton, Vancouver, WA; Daughters: Rhonda Templeton, Hermiston, OR, Patricia Grandys, Hermiston, OR, Marcene Newton, Pasco, WA, & Vivian Beil, Pendleton, OR; sister: Valgene Standley, La Grande, OR; 8 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband: Ralph Templeton, a granddaughter: Joanne Creamer, her parents, and a sister: Adarene Ogden.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Christian Church, 775 W. Highland Ave., Hermiston, OR 97838.
Private family Entombment will be later at the Olney Mausoleum in Pendleton.
