Randy G. Johnson died on April 9, 2017 at his home in Hermiston at the age of 43.
He was born on March 12, 1974 in Hermiston.
He was raised in Irrigon and attended A. C. Houghton, Columbia Junior High, and Riverside High School, where he played football. He worked at various jobs until the early 2000’s, when he became a journeyman plumber and worked at King’s Gate Plumbing for several years. He later became a pipe fitter while working at CH2M Hill. He worked as a pipe fitter at the Hanford facility since 2009.
He was a great dad and cherished the time with his family. He enjoyed fishing, camping and reading and was an avid Pittsburg Steelers and Oregon Ducks fan. He had a witty sense of humor and would help anyone, whether they were family, a friend or someone he had never met.
He is survived by his son, Lukas Andrew Johnson, Hermiston; daughters, Jiliane Courtney Dawson, Hermiston and Morgan Diann Gerbing, South Dakota; grandson, Zaiden Kendrick Jack, South Dakota; brother, Ryon Johnson, Portland; and sister, Amanda Mullaney, Portland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald Johnson and Linda Walker.
A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Hermiston Conference Center, 415 S. Hwy. 395 in Hermiston.
A private burial will be at the Hermiston Cemetery.
